This post isn't necessarily dedicated to my fellow Lebanese, because Beirut was never considered a travel destination for us, rather it was just about going back home for a little while.

It was only up until my recent visit where I thought “why have I never written a travel post about Beirut?” So Here it is, this is for the doubters and second guessers who've always considered visiting and never got around to it because they still see it as somewhat of an unstable environment. One thing Ill tell you about this city, is that the show always goes and it is, and always will be a city that keeps on rising.

Growing up in Beirut you can't help but have a love/hate relationship with it given everything its been through politically, economically and socially. But Im sure I don't only speak for myself when I say that it has shaped me into the best version of who I am today. After living in Dubai for some time, I started to see Beirut from a different light, and mostly how much I took it for granted growing up. But Ill skip through my emotional rant right now and state the facts.

My personal favourite hang outs are Mar Mikhael and Gemmayzeh, which is considered “Beirut’s Shoreditch.” If you’re looking for the artistically cultured minds of our generation, this is where you’ll find it. Up and coming designers, artists, and all the creatives’ Ateliers have gathered to create a hub around these areas. Even more, It is full of trendy bars and restaurants that serve the food of your dreams! If you're looking to see the more luxurious side of town then Downtown is where you need to be. This is where you shop till you drop and dine high end. The people remain so cosmopolitan, and sophisticated no matter what Beirut is going through at any given point in time.

Nightlife - Nothing shines as bright as a night in Beirut. It is where the most vibrant and lively nights in the middle east happen. Simply because, nobody parties like the Lebanese, wether in War or Peace, the night goes on. If you're looking for a good time, look no more.

Here's a list of Beirut's finest. Summers right around the corner and theres no better time to visit. I got you covered for when you do. Enjoy! Xx
